This is an interview that I did with Val, Vince's sister, via E Mail Thanks Val!!! |
1. First off how are you doing these days?
We are doing great.
2. How are you and Guy ajusting
to life in Utah?
It’s hard to get used to because the people here
are so friendly. Everyone
looks out for their
neighbors. I think that its a wonderful place to raise a family. The only
part of California that I
miss are my friends.
3. How are your kids ajusting?
Well Samantha (6) she is the social butterfly and she
knows everyone and
everyone knows
her..................LOL.
4. Okay .... i know you
have said that you and Vince always fought
when you were younger up untill the 9th grade, but what would
you say was the most vivid memory from your younger days with him?
Wow what a question..............UM, I think that one
of my memories that I
wont ever forget is
when Vince took me to a dance that I had in the 6th grade. My friends went
without me and I
didnt want to walk in the dance by myself so he escorted me in. He made sure
that I found my
friends then he was otta there..............LOL. God I loved him for that.
5. After the lip syncing
contests that Vince participated in, how driven
was he to become a singer?
OMG I think that is what started the whole singing frenzy.
He loved to be on
the stage with
people cheering for him.
6. More so in Motley Crue
or in Rock Candy?
I think that the excitement was in both.
7. When would you say he
knew he was going to make it as a singer?
I think that he knew when he was in Rock Candy
8. When did you know?
Well I knew when he made his first Gold record.
9. Did you feel any different
when you saw how popular he had become?
No not at all. It was just so weird to see “my”
brother on stage.
10. Understandably he wasn't
around much after he hit it big,
but did he update you as to what was going on, or did you
mostly just read about it?
Well sometimes in casual conversation he would mention
to us of anything
happening. When we
talk to him we didnt make his career our topic.
11. What about in Feb of
'92 when he and the band split,
did he go to the family much?
LOL well I specifically don’t remember Feb of
92. Vince would always keep in
touch with us,
even when he is on tour he would call .
12. Obviously he wasn't
ready to stop with music, he soon
had two solo albums out in only a short time, what did you think
about his solo stuff?
Well I personally like Motley music but his solo stuff
was good too.
13. Now in '99 when the
reunion was in the works, did he talk with the
family about it much?
LOL..................a little
14. How was he during Generation
Swine and New Tattoo?
I don’t really understand the question, I guess
he was fine..............LOL
15. I know you had said
in another interview a few years ago that you had
not met Lia yet, but now that you have, what do you think about her?
Wow Lia is wonderful. She is a very caring and sweet
person who is very good
for Vince. Our
family just adores her.
16. Did Vince talk with you about The Surreal Life much?
Yeah he was pretty
excited about the
whole thing. Vince, Lia, Gabrielle from 90210 and her husband have become
really close friends
and he would also talk about how cool she was.
17. What did you think about it?
I just loved every episode. It was great
18. Do you know if he ever has aspirations of acting now?
Nah I think singing
is his thing. But I
never really asked him...............LOL
Speed round:
1. Tell me one embarassing
moment of Vince’s.
Shit that one is a tough question. I cant think of anything.
SORRY
2. Who was the best introduction you have made through him or because of
him?
Ahh thats easy, Sebastian Bach (no doubt ). He is the
BEST, and also
very much a gentleman
3. What is the greatest
perk you have had because you are Vince’s sister?
Of course getting in concerts for free.
4. What is your favorite
song of Vince’s?
Home Sweet Home
5. In a sentence or two,
sum up Vince for me.
Vince is a very considerate loving person. He would
do anything for his
friends and family. He is shy to
those that he doesnt know.
